In A Vase on Monday - A Little Cheer

July 11, 2021

July has brought June weather to the Upper Midwest. After weeks of insane and intense heat combined with high winds, July arrived with rain and almost spring-like temperatures. And the plants loved it. the flowers and other plants are looking perky and bright. My heart is very happy. This past week work was brutally busy and I needed to bring some of that garden beauty indoors to my work area. I don’t have a lot of space on my work desk, so I went with a small bouquet using a little vase from a single bulb kit I got during our trip to Amsterdam a couple of years ago.

For this little arrangement I used Purple Coneflower and Bee Balm as the main flower, and the spiky Speedwell ‘Pink Potion’ and ‘Royal Candles’ for height, texture and more color. This little vase arrangement actually reminds me of fireworks for some reason. I think I still have 4th of July in my mind.

And that is it this week— short and sweet. But it sure brings a cheeriness to my desk area that I needed!

Thank you, Cathy at Ramblings in the Garden for hosting this link-up!
