About Me

Hi, I’m Ang—a retired Army officer, master gardener, trail runner, home cook, and proud dog mom to a mischievous wheaten terrier named Riley. Originally from Puerto Rico, I moved to the Midwest after getting married, and I’ve been growing roots here ever since.

For the past few years, I’ve been navigating a challenging season of health issues, injuries, and personal reflection. Trail running—something I deeply love—had to take a backseat for a while, but I’m finally finding my stride again. Through it all, I’ve come to realize that, like a thriving plant, life needs the right balance of care, nourishment, and alignment. That’s the heart behind Well-Planted Runner.

This blog is a space where I share the things that bring me joy: gardening tips, homemade recipes, recovery wins, running updates, and the everyday moments that make life meaningful. Whether you’re here for a new dish to try, a little inspiration, or simply a reminder that growth takes time—welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
